    European Healthcare Workers and Patients at Risk - Don’t ignore it. Know it. Confront it.

    Time: 28 july 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

    "580 yellow roses" is a manifestation for all healthcare workers over the world. The initiative comes from healthcareworkes in Sweden damaged by a single needlestick, hit by hepatitis and survived against all odds.

    Hepatitis is a potentially fatal disease that affects 1 in 12 people worldwide, but there are rarely obvious symptoms. It is estimated that 1 million needlestick injuries are suffered
    by healthcare workers in Europe each year More than 20 dangerous bloodborne pathogens are transmitted by contaminated needles, including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV.
